What This Role Involves

As a Crop Insurance Agent with Trucordia, you'll be the trusted resource for farmers and agricultural operations throughout Indiana seeking comprehensive crop insurance solutions. This position combines consultative sales, risk assessment, and customer service to help agricultural clients protect their operations and investments through tailored insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with farmers and agricultural business owners to understand their operational needs, crops, and risk profile
• Evaluate crop types, acreage, and farming practices to recommend appropriate insurance coverage
• Present and explain crop insurance policy options and their benefits to clients
• Process policy applications and maintain accurate client documentation
• Support clients through the claims process and assist with claim filing
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships
• Stay current with available crop insurance products and policy changes

What You Bring

• Knowledge of agriculture, farming operations, and crop production, particularly Midwest farming
• Sales experience or proven ability to identify client needs and recommend solutions
• Strong communication skills to explain insurance concepts to diverse audiences
• Organizational skills and attention to detail in managing policies and documentation
