What This Role Involves

As a Hoist Operator 1, you'll operate motorized hoists and lifting equipment to move, position, and suspend materials safely throughout our Newark manufacturing facility. Your primary focus will be ensuring all materials are transported securely while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. This position demands attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to supporting the smooth operation of our production floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate hoists, chain falls, and powered lifting equipment according to company procedures and safety standards
• Inspect equipment before each shift to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Position and secure loads safely, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability
• Communicate effectively with production team members and supervisors regarding load movement and timing
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, promptly reporting hazards or equipment damage
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks and equipment care as directed
