Security Consultant(PCI QSA) -UK

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cybersecurity consultancy with operations across multiple regions. We're seeking a Security Consultant with PCI QSA certification to lead payment compliance assessments and advisory engagements for clients in financial services and payment card industries throughout the UK.

This is a remote, full-time permanent position requiring occasional travel (30-40%). You'll work directly with enterprise and mid-market organizations, delivering PCI DSS assessments, gap analysis, policy reviews, and remediation support while mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end PCI data security standard assessments and specialized assessments (PCI PIN, PCI P2PE)
• Conduct SWIFT compliance assessments, gap analysis, and policy/procedure reviews
• Provide pre-sales effort estimation and scope development for security engagements
• Deliver detailed analytical reports and compliance documentation assessments using industry frameworks
• Support clients through audit preparation and remediation processes
• Assess policies, procedures, standards, infrastructure components, and security systems for compliance
• Establish and review documentation standards and quality assurance processes
• Mentor junior consultants and provide leadership on complex client engagements
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on business development and industry events
• Monitor project budgets and provide regular status updates to internal stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Active Certified Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) certification
• Demonstrated experience in fintech industry security standards consultancy (PCI DSS, PSD2, ISO 27001, SWIFT)
• Strong knowledge of cryptographic techniques, algorithms, key management, and key lifecycle
• Expertise in physical security for high-security areas and authentication methods
• Computer networking proficiency (routing, switching, firewall network filtering)
• Operating systems hardening and administration experience (Linux/Unix, Windows)
• Understanding of PKI, Certificate Authority (CA), and Registration Authority (RA) operations
• Knowledge of hardware security modules (HSMs) operations and policies
• Experience with POI key-injection systems, KLDs, and key management methods (Master/Session, DUKPT)
• Willingness to travel 30-40% within the UK

Preferred:

• Certified Qualified PIN Assessor certification
• Certified P2PE Assessor or P2PE Application Assessor certification
