Supervisor, Fleet Operations (PDX)

McGee Air Services is seeking a dedicated Supervisor, Fleet Operations to lead and manage critical aircraft fleet operations and maintenance at our Portland, Oregon location. This is a full-time position where you'll drive operational excellence, safety, and team performance across our aviation fleet.

What This Role Involves

As Supervisor, Fleet Operations at McGee Air Services in Portland, you'll oversee all aspects of aircraft fleet maintenance, readiness, and ground operations. You'll lead a team of maintenance technicians and support staff, ensuring every aircraft meets rigorous safety and regulatory standards while maintaining peak operational efficiency. Your role combines technical leadership with operational management—coordinating complex maintenance schedules, managing resources, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Core Duties

• Supervise and coordinate fleet maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance procedures
• Manage work scheduling and assignments for maintenance technicians and support personnel
• Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, airworthiness directives, and company safety protocols
• Monitor aircraft readiness status and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime
• Oversee maintenance records, technical documentation, and regulatory compliance documentation
• Manage inventory of aircraft parts, tools, and supplies
• Conduct safety briefings and enforce safety standards across fleet operations
• Track maintenance costs and work toward budget targets and operational efficiency goals
• Communicate with pilots, dispatchers, and other departments regarding aircraft status and maintenance needs

Requirements

• Proven experience in aircraft maintenance supervision or fleet operations management
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, airworthiness standards, and maintenance requirements
• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing technical teams
• Proficiency with maintenance tracking software and technical documentation systems
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced aviation environment with strong attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and aviation-related screening
