EHS Specialist

Jobot is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our operations team in Chatsworth, Los Angeles County. This is a full-time position with a multinational manufacturer that supplies cutting-edge solutions to some of the world's most recognized brands.

About This Position

We're looking for a dedicated EHS Specialist to develop, implement, and oversee safety and environmental compliance programs across our large-scale manufacturing operations. You'll work with management and staff to identify hazards, reduce incidents, and maintain a workplace culture where everyone goes home safe every day. This role combines technical expertise with hands-on site presence, requiring someone who can translate complex regulations into practical, sustainable workplace practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspections and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks
• Develop, implement, and maintain environmental health and safety policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and all applicable local and state requirements
• Investigate workplace incidents and accidents; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
• Train and educate employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices
• Manage safety documentation, permits, and regulatory filings
• Monitor and improve workplace conditions through data analysis and proactive safety initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in an EHS role within manufacturing or industrial operations
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
• Ability to conduct thorough inspections, document findings, and implement corrective measures
• Proficiency with safety software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
