Director of Academic Support

City Year is hiring a Director of Academic Support in Mayfield, Graves County to lead academic success initiatives at partner public schools. In this full-time position, you'll provide tutoring support in core subjects, mentor students through academic and social-emotional challenges, and collaborate with teachers to align tutoring with classroom instruction.

About the Role

As a Director of Academic Support at City Year in Mayfield and Graves County, you'll guide student academic growth through direct tutoring and mentorship in partner public schools. You'll provide small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core subjects, monitor student progress toward academic goals, and work alongside classroom teachers to ensure your support reinforces classroom learning and meets individual student needs.

What You'll Do

• Deliver small-group and one-on-one tutoring in core academic subjects
• Track student academic progress and adjust tutoring strategies based on individual student needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to coordinate support with school instruction
• Mentor students as a positive role model, fostering confidence and academic success
• Support student growth in both academic skills and social-emotional development
• Work within partner public schools to meet student and school community needs
