Apartment Maintenance Technician

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled maintenance professional to join our El Dorado Hills community team. As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you'll handle the complete spectrum of property upkeep—from emergency repairs to routine preventative maintenance—ensuring our residents enjoy safe, well-functioning homes. You'll draw on diverse technical expertise to diagnose problems, execute solutions, and keep our apartments operating smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Address maintenance requests and repair work orders with quick response times
• Conduct plumbing repairs, including fixture installation, drain clearing, and water system troubleshooting
• Manage electrical maintenance and safety-compliant repairs
• Paint interior and exterior spaces to maintain community aesthetics
• Diagnose and repair appliances and HVAC systems
• Prepare vacant units for incoming residents through turnover, cleaning, and minor renovations
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections across the property
• Document all work completed for record-keeping and scheduling

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on experience in apartment or multi-family residential maintenance
• Demonstrated technical skills in plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs
• Apartment turnover and move-out preparation experience
• Proficiency in painting, drywall patching, and interior finishing
• Ability to troubleshoot household appliances and common mechanical issues
• Strong customer service mindset and communication abilities
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Physical capability to lift, climb, and perform labor-intensive duties
