This part-time position offers the flexibility of two 12-hour night shifts per week, giving you the opportunity to develop skills in a fast-paced emergency care environment. You'll work alongside experienced clinicians in a 15-bed emergency department within our 23-bed small-format hospital, gaining exposure to diverse patient presentations and clinical procedures.
Your Responsibilities
- Assess and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation
- Transport patients safely to examination areas, imaging departments, and other facility locations
- Assist nurses and physicians with emergency procedures and patient care tasks
- Maintain clean, sterile environments and properly handle medical equipment and supplies
- Monitor patients and alert clinical staff to any changes in condition or concerns
- Complete accurate documentation and assist with administrative duties as needed
- Respond quickly to patient needs and support the team during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current certification as an Emergency Room Technician, or willingness to pursue certification
- Ability to work night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with reliability and professionalism
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift patients safely, and move quickly in an emergency setting
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety and infection control standards
