About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential agtech organization that's revolutionizing livestock management through innovative technology. We're seeking a Territory Manager to cover the North East region of Nebraska. This role combines field sales, customer success, and territory ownership—perfect for someone who wants to work in tech without leaving behind their boots and ranching knowledge.
As Territory Manager, you'll drive new business growth and ensure customer satisfaction across your designated territory. You'll be the on-the-ground representative, building relationships with ranchers and cattle operators while executing ambitious sales strategies. Frequent travel throughout your territory is required.
Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new business: Drive up driveways, attend cattle auctions, engage with local livestock and cattleman's associations, and build your pipeline through outbound lead generation
- Conduct in-field sales: Meet potential customers on their ranches—over coffee at kitchen tables, on horseback, or on side-by-sides traversing pastures. Get your hands dirty helping customers before discussing product value
- Expand existing accounts: Identify upsell opportunities and find new ways to increase value for current customers over time
- Hit sales targets: Manage your pipeline expertly, qualify leads effectively, and balance current deals while planning for next month's targets
- Manage customer accounts: Maintain close relationships post-sale to ensure satisfaction, provide support, and address challenges. Ensure smooth handoffs to onboarding teams
- Own your territory: Serve as the face of the company in your region, building relationships with local, state, and federal agricultural stakeholders
- Support customer onboarding: Actively own the end-to-end customer experience during product deployment and implementation
- Gather field feedback: Act as the primary contact for customer insights in your territory and advocate for customer needs across the organization
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Product, Support, and Customer Onboarding teams to resolve issues quickly and ensure customers feel fully supported
- Attend industry events: Participate in events like CattleCon and local livestock association meetups to generate leads and deepen relationships
- Contribute to sales strategy: Work with the broader team to optimize the sales process for the US market as the organization scales
What We're Looking For
- Ranching or cattle operations experience: You understand the unique challenges of the industry and can connect authentically with ranchers about what matters most
- Sales and customer success expertise: Strong track record creating new business opportunities, conducting value-based sales conversations, and building lasting customer relationships focused on long-term success
- Territory management experience: Proven ability to manage a large territory with balanced focus on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology
- Driven attitude and communication skills: Results-driven, motivated, and adaptable. You excel in high-stakes environments and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams. You're proactive and don't wait to act
- Problem-solving and collaboration: Resourceful, quick-thinking, and able to work well with cross-functional teams to address challenges
- Willingness to travel: Frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects
Bonus qualifications:
- Familiarity with precision agriculture or livestock management technologies
- Background in customer-facing roles within agriculture technology
- Experience selling SaaS solutions in a B2B environment
