About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital services organization based in München that has been delivering innovative solutions since the early 1990s. Our client works with diverse companies on strategic digital transformation projects, from experience design to software development. We're seeking a Software Engineer to join their agile engineering teams and contribute to high-impact client projects.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, you will build reliable, high-performing, and maintainable digital solutions while independently managing defined technical areas:

• Independently implement complex features, components, interfaces, and technical areas
• Assess solutions for quality, effort, scalability, security, and maintainability
• Identify technical risks and dependencies, developing concrete mitigation strategies
• Enable stable releases through testing, code reviews, documentation, and clean integration
• Communicate technical impacts on timing, scope, quality, and operations clearly to stakeholders
• Improve engineering practices and provide professional support to junior engineers
• Make decisions transparent and manage risks and results effectively

What We're Looking For

• Several years of practical experience in software engineering for digital products and platforms
• Strong proficiency with clean code principles, testing methodologies, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, performance optimization, and security best practices
• Ability to independently plan and manage clearly defined areas of responsibility
• Experience assessing technical options for quality, impact, effort, and feasibility
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English
• Proven ability to communicate convincingly with clients, teams, and stakeholders
• Track record of sharing knowledge, mentoring junior colleagues, and pragmatically improving workflows
• Experience working in agile, collaborative team environments
