Technical Product Manager – AI Neobank App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our client is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own a critical product vertical within their AI-powered neobanking platform. This is a remote opportunity based in Spain, working with a distributed international team.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, technical architecture, and regulatory compliance. You'll own end-to-end delivery of products that move real money—where reliability, security, and regulatory requirements are fundamental, not afterthoughts. Our client leverages AI strategically, but expects you to know when deterministic systems must remain in control and how to build products that are auditable and trusted.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end, including strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements into the product, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing
• Apply AI where it improves outcomes, with clear evaluation, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products around external dependencies, including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners
• Align cross-functional teams (Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, Finance) around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers and ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working in a distributed, international team

Nice to Have:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
