Technical Product Manager – AI Neobank

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia. Our talent team is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own a critical product vertical within their AI-powered platform. This is a remote role based in Australia, working with a distributed international team.

This position requires deep technical fluency combined with product leadership. You'll be building products that move real money—reliability, regulatory compliance, and integration with financial rails are non-negotiable requirements, not afterthoughts.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery through production launch
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive complex trade-offs balancing correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements directly into product design, including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing constraints
• Apply AI capabilities where they genuinely improve outcomes, implementing clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Navigate external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure partnerships, and third-party integrations
• Align cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance—around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation: system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers with ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability frameworks, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for collaboration across global teams and time zones

Preferred:

• Engineering background or highly technical product experience
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
