Technical Product Lead – AI Neobank App

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization building next-generation financial products across Southeast Asia and Australia. Our talent team is searching for a Technical Product Lead to own a complete product vertical within an AI-powered neobanking platform.

This is a remote role for candidates based in Australia. You'll work with a distributed international team building products that handle real money—payments, remittance, insurance, wealth management, and trading—where reliability and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive complex trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements into products including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing constraints
• Apply AI capabilities where they genuinely improve outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products that navigate external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial infrastructure, and third-party partners
• Align cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance—around product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production launch
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers; ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Background in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Exceptional product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation methodologies, reliability considerations, and understanding when AI should not be deployed
• Strong English communication skills for a distributed, international team

Preferred:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
