Sr. Maintenance Scheduler

Position Summary

The Sr. Maintenance Scheduler at VWR's Bakersfield location is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the comprehensive maintenance calendar that keeps equipment functioning optimally and operations running without disruption. You'll serve as the organizational hub connecting maintenance teams, facility managers, and department heads—translating business needs into actionable maintenance plans. This role requires strategic thinking to balance immediate repairs with long-term preventive care, ensuring maximum asset availability and cost-effective operations.

Core Duties

• Design and manage master maintenance schedules for all facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure
• Review and prioritize incoming maintenance requests, assigning work to maintenance teams based on urgency and resource availability
• Monitor maintenance performance, track completion rates, and identify recurring issues or equipment failures
• Prepare reports analyzing maintenance trends, equipment reliability, and opportunities for process optimization
