Specialist, Market Growth & Retention (Remote in NYC, Tue – Sat Schedule)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Market Growth & Retention Specialist to support member engagement and retention initiatives. This remote role requires residence in the NYC area and follows a Tuesday through Saturday schedule.

Training Schedule:

• 3 weeks remote training: Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm EST
• 3 weeks in-person training in Chinatown (30 East Broadway, New York, NY 10002): Monday-Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm EST

Work Schedule:

• Days off: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
• Thursday & Friday: 11:30am - 7:00pm
• Saturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide critical support for member growth and retention activities:

• Conduct proactive outreach to members regarding upcoming recertification with state/health plan; educate on processes, qualifications, and required documentation
• Complete applications and submissions to the state on behalf of members
• Resolve complex member issues related to application errors, immigration status, multi-family enrollment, premiums, and eligibility
• Handle inbound member calls and manage individual state dashboards
• Facilitate member reminders regarding product overviews, premiums, gaps in care, and member engagement events
• Schedule appointments and facilitate closure of at-risk care gaps
• Conduct outreach to appropriate state entities and direct members toward available resources and care management opportunities
• Promote and increase member enrollments into plan programs
• Retain members identified as late renewals, post terms, or potential disenrollments through education and assistance
• Accurately and timely document all outreach in appropriate databases
• Collaborate with leadership to provide feedback, trends, and insights for process improvement
• Attend and assist with in-person community-based member retention events and field work as needed

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or healthcare environment
• Strong customer service acumen and ability to assess member needs
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally within a highly matrixed organization
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone etiquette
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs
• For New York State: Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire date
