Solutions Architect (Insurance) – Fully Remote

We are representing a confidential insurtech organization seeking a Solutions Architect with deep insurance domain expertise. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work with enterprise insurance clients across multiple lines of business, designing and delivering modern cloud-based solutions in a global, technology-forward environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage directly with insurance clients to understand their requirements and design tailored solution architectures
• Collaborate with Product Managers to align client needs with solution design and roadmaps
• Work closely with Delivery Managers to oversee architecture approach during solution deployment
• Explore creative alternatives and possibilities to identify the most effective solutions for complex business problems
• Ensure designed solutions are implemented according to client expectations and enterprise standards
• Identify, specify, and select appropriate off-the-shelf components and platform capabilities
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in insurance and cloud environments

What We're Looking For

Required Experience and Skills:

• At least 6 years of professional experience in solution architecture design and delivery roles specifically within the insurance vertical, with exposure to multiple lines of business
• Proven track record delivering cloud-based technology product solutions in enterprise insurance environments
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms, incorporating PaaS and SaaS components
• Strong understanding of business architecture models and patterns in insurance contexts
• Demonstrated ability to design innovative solutions to business problems while understanding real-world constraints
• Expertise in designing cloud-based applications with high availability and scalability requirements
• Experience designing solutions in both Relational DB and NoSQL environments
• Experience designing API and microservices-centric architectures
• Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (SSO, SAML integration, identity federation)
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding or experience with low-code platforms
• Hands-on experience with multiple development languages and database engines
• Certification in architecture discipline (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
• Cloud platform certification (AWS, GCP)

Key Competencies:

• Comfortable discussing solution strategies with stakeholders at all levels, from CxO executives to project teams
• Strong analytical skills and ability to collect business requirements from corporate insurance clients
• Ability to build compelling value propositions, solution documents, and business cases
• Relationship management experience with enterprise clients
• Understanding of insurance business processes across multiple lines of business
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Self-directed approach with strong planning and decision-making capabilities
