Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential database technology organization seeking a Solutions Architect to join their pre-sales team in Germany on a remote basis. In this role, you will guide customers through the design and implementation of reliable, scalable systems using a modern data platform.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Designing scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects
• Advising customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies while articulating business value to stakeholders
• Collaborating with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, and pipeline generation
• Leading technical discovery, demonstrations, proof of value sessions, presentations, sizing exercises, and documentation
• Generating demand through self-driven technical initiatives and participation in industry events and trade shows
• Building strong customer relationships and ensuring ongoing customer success and satisfaction
• Providing feedback to product teams and mentoring other solutions consulting team members
• Engaging in continuous training to stay current with product developments and industry trends

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of related industry experience, with at least 2 years in a customer-facing role
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with modern scripting languages (Python, Node.js, SQL) or programming languages (C/C++, Java, C#)
• Proven experience implementing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments
• Demonstrated ability to review complex application architectures and provide improvement guidance
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical and business concepts to various audiences
• Ability to work with cross-functional sales teams throughout the complete deal cycle
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience developing, deploying, or supporting applications with major cloud providers
• Background in technical pre-sales
• Experience with database programming and data models
• Experience in data engineering or AI/ML projects
• Understanding of sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message
• Relevant database or cloud provider certifications
