Social Media Manager (m/w/d) Freelance

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential wellness brand based in Hamburg that is experiencing significant growth. They are seeking a Social Media Manager (Freelance) to build and scale their digital presence across key platforms. This is a long-term freelance engagement with creative autonomy and direct collaboration with the founding team.

As their social media partner, you will develop strategy, create compelling content, manage influencer relationships, and drive measurable community growth. This role offers the opportunity to shape a brand's identity during a pivotal growth phase.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the social media strategy and structured content calendar
• Concept, create, and publish high-quality photo, video, and short-form content
• Produce creative Reels, Stories, posts, and new content formats aligned with brand identity
• Independently organize and conduct content shoots
• Research current social media, wellness, beauty, and lifestyle trends and quickly adapt relevant trends
• Build and nurture the community through active follower engagement
• Research, identify, and reach out to relevant influencers and content creators
• Plan and coordinate influencer collaborations from initial contact through content publication
• Analyze social media performance and continuously optimize content and formats
• Leverage AI tools to support content ideation, editorial planning, copywriting, and visual content creation

What We're Looking For

• Fluent German and English language skills
• Proven social media management experience, ideally within wellness, beauty, or lifestyle sectors
• Strong aesthetic sensibility and understanding of branding, trends, and premium visual content
• Experience creating and editing photo and video content with proficiency in relevant editing and graphic design tools
• Practical experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, or comparable applications
• Solid understanding of social media platform mechanics, algorithms, and influencer marketing
• Creativity and ability to independently develop and execute strong content from concept to completion
• Self-directed, structured work approach with high initiative and attention to detail
• Results-oriented mindset focused on making social media not just visually appealing but measurably successful
