About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading media and marketing organization seeking an Associate Director of eCommerce to lead retail media strategy and execution for a portfolio of commerce accounts in London. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic planning, client delivery, and team performance while working with major retail media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Account Leadership & Delivery: Lead end-to-end team output across client-facing work and operational delivery, ensuring high standards and adherence to best practices
  • Strategic Planning: Develop deep understanding of client business objectives and KPIs to shape insight-led retail media strategies that drive measurable outcomes
  • Platform Expertise: Apply strong experience across Amazon, CitrusAd, Criteo, Skai, and Pacvue to guide planning, optimization, and best-in-class execution
  • Innovation & Proactive Thinking: Stay informed on industry trends and platform developments; identify opportunities to enhance client performance
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and media partners as a trusted advisor
  • Team Leadership: Support and develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, and career progression
  • Communication Leadership: Lead day-to-day communications across clients, partners, and internal stakeholders with clarity and alignment
  • Operational Excellence: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better processes, automation, and technology adoption
  • Financial Oversight: Manage activation-related financial processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
  • Performance Measurement: Maintain strong understanding of measurement frameworks to guide optimization strategies
  • Strategic Workshops: Lead client workshops and planning sessions with structured thinking and strategic direction
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and consistent execution
  • Product Development: Support development and testing of commerce products and solutions with technology partners

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience in eCommerce and retail media, including campaign setup, management, optimization, and reporting across media owner and technology vendor platforms
  • Excellent understanding of strategic and tactical application of retail media and digital marketing
  • Proven hands-on experience across the Amazon ecosystem, with solid understanding of the UK retail landscape (Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Morrisons, Ocado) and quick commerce partners (Deliveroo, Uber Eats)
  • Experience working with bid management platforms such as Skai and Pacvue
  • Demonstrated project management and team leadership experience managing multiple workstreams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills coordinating across clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • High level of data literacy with ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into strategic recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy and quality across all outputs
  • Confident communication and storytelling skills to present ideas persuasively to various stakeholders
  • Effective team management capabilities including workload prioritization and team development
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Drive to elevate work beyond the expected with energy, curiosity, and continuous improvement
  • Right to work in the UK is required for this position
