Senior Associate Director, Search

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential media agency in their search for a Senior Associate Director, Search to join their London team. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving paid search excellence across major client portfolios. You'll act as the senior strategic partner for search marketing, managing large-scale campaigns and leading a team of specialists to deliver exceptional results.

This role requires proven leadership in paid search, deep platform expertise, and the ability to inspire teams while maintaining strategic oversight of complex media activations.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior strategic advisor and client partner for all paid search activities across a significant business area
• Support capacity planning and resource management for your team in collaboration with activation and client services leads
• Own media activation best practices, adherence, and automation for your team while coordinating with international counterparts to ensure consistency
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, delivering innovative thinking and informing future activation strategies
• Drive strategic vision and overall campaign growth, delivering actionable recommendations that empower teams to exceed client expectations
• Maintain ultimate accountability for adherence to controls and best practices across all relevant platforms
• Serve as primary contact between media activation teams and internal and external stakeholders
• Lead team communications with clients and key suppliers, providing insight beyond your immediate remit
• Showcase thought leadership through points of view and industry contributions throughout the year
• Deliver regular updates on work quality as it relates to owned workstreams
• Lead, inspire, and coach junior team members, providing timely and actionable feedback
• Maintain strategic understanding of client business and KPIs while staying current with industry trends and opportunities
• Contribute to regional paid search strategy and goals, providing strategic insight to campaign performance

• Demonstrated progression managing a team of 5+ people
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all platforms
• Expert organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to provide high-level oversight through strategic reviews of all tactics
• Concrete knowledge of all areas of digital marketing and media
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Excellent client relationship and management skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to develop creative solutions
• Strong leadership capabilities with ability to motivate team members
• Detail-oriented and responsive with strong quantitative reasoning skills
• Ability to deliver results proactively with minimal senior input
• Right to work in the UK is required
