Junior business data scientist – Marketing & commercial effectiveness

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential data science consultancy with a strong presence across global markets. Our talent team is seeking a Junior Business Data Scientist to join their Marketing & Commercial Effectiveness practice in Paris. This role combines technical data science skills with strategic marketing insight to deliver measurable business impact for enterprise clients.

In this position, you'll work at the intersection of econometrics, statistics, and business strategy, helping clients optimize their marketing investments and commercial decisions through advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

• Manipulate and clean large datasets using Python and Excel
• Build and deploy econometric and statistical models, including Bayesian approaches
• Analyze marketing performance data and construct media optimization strategies based on model outputs
• Develop client deliverables and present strategic recommendations to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data engineers, and senior consultants
• Transform complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations

What We're Looking For

• Degree from an engineering school or business school
• Strong foundation in programming with hands-on experience in Python
• Practical knowledge of data science models and statistical techniques
• Ability to analyze data and translate insights into strategic business recommendations
• Strong analytical mindset combined with excellent communication skills
• Collaborative approach when working with diverse stakeholders
• Academic or professional experience with Databricks/Azure is a plus
• Fluency in French required given client-facing nature of role
