Shop Lead (m/w/d) Shopify & E-Commerce

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand in the performance nutrition space, based in Hamburg. Our client is expanding their Shopify-based e-commerce platform from a handful of products to a full catalog of approximately 60 SKUs, including bundles, subscriptions, and custom landing pages. They need an experienced Shop Lead to own and scale this platform during a critical growth phase.

This is a hands-on role where you'll build, optimize, and maintain the entire shop infrastructure—working directly with founders, growth, and creative teams to create a purchasing experience that converts and scales.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Shopify platform: themes, sections, templates for categories, products, bundles, and landing pages on a data model that supports 200+ articles
• Design and optimize the customer journey: variant selection, subscription logic, cart, checkout, and reorder flows aligned with brand standards
• Systematize product launches: establish repeatable processes for naming, claims validation, product pages, metafields, and launch workflows
• Integrate the shop with Klaviyo to transform first-time buyers into repeat customers
• Implement tracking and measurement: build a tracking plan, manage consent, and deliver weekly performance reports the team can trust
• Brief and manage freelancers for development, design implementation, Klaviyo, and tracking—ensuring quality delivery

What We're Looking For

• Four to eight years of D2C e-commerce experience, with several years of hands-on Shopify work: theme customization, metafields, apps, and subscription tools
• Proven track record building or relaunching a shop with freelance support—you know what to do yourself and what to delegate
• Experience with bundle and subscription models; background in supplements, food, or beauty is a strong plus
• Working knowledge of Klaviyo fundamentals, tracking, consent management, and key metrics: conversion rate, AOV, repeat purchase rate
• Ability to work within defined brand guidelines while providing strategic input when conversion ideas might compromise brand integrity
• Fluent German required; based in Hamburg or available for hybrid work; short notice period preferred

What's Offered

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Hamburg, available immediately. Our client offers a shop you'll shape from the ground up with growing responsibility as the catalog expands, budget for freelancers and tools, direct access to founders and cross-functional teams, an HQ with content studio, and hybrid work flexibility.

The client has indicated a salary range of €55,000 to €80,000 depending on experience. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
