About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential industrial automation client seeking a Field Service Technician for their Cottbus location. Our client specializes in automated storage and logistics systems, serving customers across Germany and internationally. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on travel and enjoys working directly at customer sites worldwide.
As a Field Service Technician, you will be the technical face of our client's organization, independently managing installations, commissioning, and service work at customer facilities. You'll travel extensively—approximately 100% travel readiness with typical assignments lasting two to three weeks.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly and installation of automated systems at customer sites nationally and internationally
- Conduct independent commissioning of equipment and systems
- Support structural steel erection and component installation
- Execute service and maintenance assignments for the global installed base
- Work on diverse, custom-engineered solutions tailored to individual customer requirements
- Travel extensively with average field assignments of two to three weeks duration
What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed technical vocational training (e.g., mechatronics, electronics, or similar)
- Career starters welcome; experience in field service is a plus
- Strong communication skills in German and English (required)
- French language skills are desirable
- Self-directed work style with strong teamwork abilities
- 100% willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Valid Class B driver's license
