Senior Trade Classification Specialist

Formfactor is seeking a Senior Trade Classification Specialist to join our team across 4 locations. In this full-time position, you'll be the technical expert guiding your organization through complex international trade regulations and tariff compliance.

What This Role Involves

As a Senior Trade Classification Specialist, you'll provide critical expertise in determining the proper tariff classification of products and ensuring your organization remains compliant with intricate trade regulations. Your decisions directly impact supply chain efficiency, regulatory adherence, and financial outcomes. You'll work with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to navigate harmonized tariff codes, trade agreements, and evolving policy landscapes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Analyze product specifications and technical documentation to determine accurate tariff classifications and applicable duties
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of harmonized tariff schedules, HS codes, and international trade regulations
• Validate product classifications in customs and logistics systems to prevent misclassification and compliance risks
• Partner with cross-functional teams including procurement, engineering, and supply chain on trade compliance questions
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders
• Lead and mentor junior staff in trade classification methodologies and best practices
• Maintain and organize trade compliance documentation and records
