Senior Technical Project Manager – VPC

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization in their search for a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex networking initiatives in London. This role sits at the heart of enterprise cloud networking, driving programs that span virtual private cloud systems, adjacent infrastructure services, and distributed platform layers.

You will coordinate cross-functional delivery of initiatives such as regional expansions, hardware generation support, platform scalability improvements, architectural evolution, and new networking capabilities. Working alongside engineering managers, technical leads, and product teams, you will translate broad objectives into executable programs, define success criteria, expose dependencies, facilitate decision-making, and shepherd initiatives from planning through operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Drive complex technical programs spanning virtual private cloud infrastructure, adjacent cloud services, and underlying platform layers
• Turn broad product and technical objectives into executable delivery plans with clear outcomes and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate multi-team initiatives involving developers, engineering managers, technical leads, and product managers
• Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs across engineering organizations with differing priorities
• Facilitate timely technical and planning decisions without relying on formal authority
• Guide initiatives through validation, rollout phases, and operational readiness
• Produce concise, actionable documentation that communicates complex technical topics clearly
• Adapt program structure and plans as requirements evolve and new information emerges

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years in technical program management, technical project management, engineering management, or senior technical roles delivering complex cross-team initiatives
• Strong technical foundation enabling meaningful participation in cloud networking and distributed systems discussions
• Understanding of system boundaries, failure modes, and ability to challenge technical assumptions
• Practical knowledge of networking fundamentals: IPv4/IPv6 addressing, routing, network isolation, NAT, firewalls, and load balancing
• Comfort learning and reasoning about production cloud-networking platform architectures
• Proven experience coordinating initiatives across multiple engineering teams with competing priorities
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify critical paths, and manage program risks
• Outcome-oriented approach with demonstrated ability to drive progress through influence
• Clear communication skills for technical topics and decision facilitation

Preferred:

• Experience building or operating public-cloud or large-scale infrastructure platforms
• Background with VPCs, software-defined networking, network virtualization, or Linux networking
• Track record leading reliability, scalability, or operational improvement programs
• Experience designing lightweight planning, risk-management, or operational-readiness processes for engineering teams
