Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential observability platform company seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to focus on Public Sector opportunities in the UK. In this role, you will:
- Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-value evaluations
- Partner with account executives to articulate technical value propositions and strategic vision to government and public sector customers
- Own technical engagement during trial phases, addressing customer concerns and driving successful outcomes
- Close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
- Deliver product briefings and technical presentations to prospective clients
- Maintain detailed CRM records regarding customer feedback, wins, and losses
- Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding product feedback and competitive intelligence
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, or.NET
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to articulate both business value and technical advantages
- Passion for educating customers on technical risks meaningful to their business
- Ability to build and execute evaluation plans with customers
- Willingness to travel up to 45% of the time via auto, train, or air
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods when traveling to client sites
