Junior Manager Treasury (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-established family-owned organization in the renewable energy sector, based in Trier, Germany. Our client is expanding their finance function and has created a brand-new Junior Manager Treasury position. This is an exceptional opportunity to build treasury operations from the ground up, working closely with senior finance leadership to establish processes, systems, and structures that will support continued growth.

As the first dedicated treasury professional, you'll have significant autonomy to shape how cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships are handled across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash positioning and maintain rolling 13-week operational and 13-month strategic liquidity forecasts
• Oversee internal and external payment processes and further develop cash pooling structures
• Administer intercompany financing arrangements and structure external financing facilities and credit lines
• Serve as primary contact for core banking partners and negotiate appropriate financing solutions
• Manage and monitor guarantee and letter of credit facilities
• Continuously analyze and optimize treasury processes, systems, and cost structures, identifying automation opportunities
• Collaborate closely with finance management, accounting, auditors, and tax advisors

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Completed commercial apprenticeship with relevant further qualification, degree in business administration with focus on finance, treasury, or controlling, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in treasury, finance, or banking environments
• Strong practical knowledge of liquidity management, cash management, and payment operations
• Experience with cash pooling, intercompany financing, credit facilities, and banking relationships
• Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP systems
• Confident presence and strong communication skills with internal stakeholders, banks, and external partners
• Fluency in German is essential for this role

Valued additionally:

• Experience optimizing or building treasury processes and structures
• Knowledge of SAP Business One
• Experience with digitalization and automation in treasury or finance functions
• Interest in leveraging AI tools within finance and treasury operations
