Senior Solutions Architect, Higher Education and Research

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology organization at the forefront of accelerated computing and AI innovation. We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to serve as the primary technical contact for academia and research partners across the Greater London area. In this role, you will work directly with leading research labs, university faculty, and application developers to drive adoption of cutting-edge GPU computing and AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with leading research labs, researchers, and university faculty as a trusted technical advisor, developing deep understanding of their scientific goals and driving joint research projects at supercomputing scale
• Identify and accelerate high-impact workloads by integrating advanced frameworks, libraries, and core software stacks into research projects, helping researchers amplify their impact through publications and conference presentations
• Advocate for accelerated computing, robotics, multimodal AI and physical AI by delivering hands-on trainings, workshops, lectures and demonstrations, mentoring power users to become technology champions
• Track emerging research trends and translate gaps between researcher needs and available offerings into prototypical solutions with direct feedback to engineering teams
• Maintain deep expertise in your domain while staying versatile across the full platform: GPUs, CPUs, networking, and software
• Travel as needed for face-to-face meetings with academic and research stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Graduate degree from a leading university in a STEM-related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in the multimodal and world model lifecycle on multi-node GPU systems, including video and image data curation at scale, pre-training and post-training, evaluation, and efficient inference
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with academic and research stakeholders
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both expert and non-expert audiences
• Action-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and passionate about continuous learning
• Excellent organizational skills to work effectively in a heavily multi-tasked environment
• Fluent in English, both oral and written
• Proficient in Python programming

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD from a leading university in a STEM-related discipline with 3+ years of research in the domain
• Track record of thought leadership through high-impact publications and talks at academic conferences and workshops
• Understanding of scientific policy engagement, grant processes, or national/European research program structures
• Experience with GPU computing software stacks for visual and multimodal AI, including frameworks for multimodal model training, robotics platforms, neural reconstruction, deployment optimization, and domain-specific applications
