About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in München that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide third-level support and integration assistance for their digital medical imaging services. This role combines technical investigation, customer support, and development work in a production environment serving healthcare providers globally.

You will handle escalated technical issues, reproduce complex problems in distributed systems, and work closely with engineering teams to resolve root causes. The position requires working with both modern C++20 services and legacy code bases to ensure reliable operation of critical healthcare infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Reproduce technical issues, identify root causes, and document clear findings for engineering teams
  • Support customers with API integration, service deployment, and data flow troubleshooting
  • Provide technical analysis and maintenance support for legacy products
  • Work with modern C++20 services and debug older C++ code bases as needed
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to internal stakeholders and customer teams
  • Contribute to development work during periods of lower support demand

What We're Looking For

  • Several years of professional experience in C++ software engineering
  • Proven background in technical support, application support, integration support, or similar customer-facing technical roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in issue reproduction, log analysis, and root cause identification
  • Ability to work effectively with both modern and legacy C++ code bases for debugging and support purposes
  • Experience with distributed backend systems and gRPC services using Protocol Buffers
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely
  • Independent, structured working style with ability to drive investigations to completion
  • German language proficiency preferred for this München-based position

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated software products
  • Familiarity with Git and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
