Senior Security Engineer, Incident Response at Twilio - Anywhere in the World
The Opportunity
Join the team as Twilio’s next Senior Security Engineer, Incident Response. The Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) is seeking a passionate individual to lead technical responses to security events and incidents across our global infrastructure, services, and applications. You will be part of a dynamic, remote-first environment where you can contribute to creating bespoke and standard security response processes, enhancing threat mitigation capabilities, and driving automation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Educate and train cross-functional teams on incident response best practices
- Conduct triage, containment, and remediation of security incidents
- Develop scalable processes and technical solutions for incident response
- Participate in post-incident reviews to drive betterments and improvements
- Collaborate with R&D Engineering and Business teams to enhance our security posture
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in incident response, security engineering, or a related field
- Strong technical skills with a deep understanding of security principles and practices
- Experience with threat hunting, vulnerability management, and forensic analysis
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Aptitude for problem-solving and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
