Senior Security Engineer I, Customer Trust EMEA (Remote Eligible in the UK)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading SaaS platform company that is hiring a Senior Security Engineer I for their Customer Trust team, focused on EMEA operations. This is a remote position based in the United Kingdom.

Our client's enterprise customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa require responsive, knowledgeable support for their security and compliance needs. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for customer trust operations in these regions—managing security questionnaires, vendor risk assessments, and building trusted relationships with enterprise accounts. You'll collaborate closely with EMEA sales teams and ensure the organization maintains its strong reputation for technical credibility and responsiveness in high-value markets.

This role reports to the Sr. Director, GRC Engineering based in the US and offers full remote flexibility within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead questionnaire triage, completion, and queue management for EMEA customers, ensuring timely and accurate responses to security assessments and RFIs
• Respond to customer security questionnaires and vendor risk assessments with technical accuracy and regional compliance awareness
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with enterprise customers across EMEA, serving as their security point of contact
• Partner with EMEA sales teams to support customer trust needs throughout the sales cycle
• Navigate regional compliance requirements including GDPR, EU data protection frameworks, and sector-specific standards
• Manage multiple concurrent customer interactions while meeting SLA commitments
• Provide clear explanations of technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to improving customer trust processes and knowledge management systems

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in customer trust, vendor risk management, security assessment, or customer-facing security roles at SaaS or cloud platform companies
• Proven track record completing and responding to customer security questionnaires, vendor assessments, and RFIs
• Strong understanding of GDPR, EU data protection, and regional compliance requirements, including data residency, data processing agreements, and DPIAs
• Working knowledge of GRC frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
• Solid technical security foundation covering cloud architecture, access controls, encryption, incident response, and data handling best practices
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt style for different audiences
• Experience with ticketing systems, SLA tracking, and managing multiple concurrent projects
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom

Preferred:

• Fluency in an additional European language
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
• Background in SaaS customer trust or security operations with European companies
• Experience with industry-specific EMEA compliance requirements for financial services, healthcare, or government sectors
• Familiarity with questionnaire management and vendor risk platforms
