Senior Project Manager für digitale Verwaltungsprojekte – Migration und Inneres (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public sector digital transformation organization seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high-impact digitization initiatives focused on migration and interior administration domains. In this role, you will:

• Deliver complex IT and digitalization projects of significant societal relevance, utilizing agile, hybrid, or traditional methodologies
• Own full project lifecycle accountability including scope, timeline, budget, quality, and risk management from conception through successful go-live
• Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams working across diverse technology contexts including digital government services, specialized applications, content management systems, form management platforms, and custom IT solutions
• Serve as the central interface between internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining close collaboration with public administration clients
• Translate client requirements into viable IT solutions and digital processes, guiding implementation through structured and reliable project frameworks
• Advise clients on digital transformation questions while identifying opportunities for enhancing existing projects and solutions

What We're Looking For

• Several years of proven experience managing development or digitalization projects with demonstrated ability to independently steer projects end-to-end
• Strong track record leading interdisciplinary project teams with confident ownership of scope, budget, timeline, quality, and risk dimensions
• Ideally, prior experience with public administration digitalization projects and/or domain knowledge in migration and interior affairs
• Client-facing experience with a delivery-oriented approach to project management; excellent communication skills enabling effective engagement across all organizational levels
• Proficiency in agile and/or classical project methodologies; experience with scaled agile frameworks or hybrid project setups is a significant advantage
• Relevant project management or agile certifications such as PRINCE2, PMI, Scrum PSM/PSPO preferred
• Completed university degree providing the professional foundation for this role
• Excellent written and spoken German and English language skills
