Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential government contracting firm seeking a Senior Java Developer for a remote position supporting federal programs. This role requires a Public Trust clearance and offers the opportunity to work on systems that serve important civic missions.

As a Senior Java Developer, you'll architect and build secure web applications using modern Java frameworks, working with cloud infrastructure and enterprise-grade authentication systems. This is a fully remote position within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain backend services for profile management, SSN lookup, data validation, and synchronization
• Integrate applications with AWS services including API Gateway, RDS, S3, and messaging platforms
• Connect with external authentication systems while ensuring security and compliance
• Ensure applications meet enterprise security standards and ATO requirements
• Design scalable architectures with robust error handling and logging capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and integration strategies
• Participate in code reviews and enforce development best practices
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Proven experience with REST API development and design
• Solid experience with relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native development approaches
• Strong understanding of application security principles and authentication mechanisms
• Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one
