We are representing a well-established game development studio seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their team in 2027. Our client is a respected organization in the interactive entertainment industry with over two decades of experience creating innovative gaming experiences across console, PC, and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with artists and designers to understand and define game features and system requirements
• Implement, test, debug, and maintain source code for game systems
• Deliver high-quality, functional systems to specification
• Collaborate with other engineers to develop and iterate on game features
• Provide ongoing technical support to artists and designers
• Make informed trade-offs among scope, quality, and development pace

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong programming skills with deep knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Demonstrated ability to set goals, manage workload, and communicate task status effectively

Preferred:

• Experience developing software in a professional environment
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Unreal and/or Unity game engines
• Proficiency in C++ or C#
• Experience developing applications or games for mobile or console platforms
