Storage Solutions Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization in their search for a Storage Solutions Engineer to join their distributed team. This is a 100% remote, full-time W2 position available to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

Our client seeks an engineer with deep expertise across enterprise storage platforms to design, deploy, and operate storage infrastructure supporting compute, virtualization, database, and Kubernetes workloads. You'll work with heterogeneous storage environments spanning block, file, and object storage across data center, edge, and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise storage solutions across NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and Ceph platforms
• Deploy and manage storage infrastructure supporting diverse workloads including databases, virtualization, and containerized applications
• Integrate storage with VMware environments and Kubernetes using CSI drivers
• Optimize storage performance, capacity planning, and cost efficiency across the estate
• Develop automation for storage provisioning and management using Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIs
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning storage, network, and host layers
• Implement data protection and replication strategies across hybrid-cloud environments
• Maintain and scale object storage infrastructure

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 6+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience
• Deep expertise in NetApp ONTAP or Pure Storage FlashArray/FlashBlade
• Production-scale experience with Ceph
• Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, and object storage protocols
• Demonstrated experience integrating storage with VMware and Kubernetes (CSI)
• Proficiency with scripting and automation using Ansible, Terraform, or REST APIs
• Proven ability in storage performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost optimization
• Strong troubleshooting skills across storage, network, and host layers
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred:

• Vendor certifications such as NCDA, NCIE, or Pure Storage certifications
• Experience with hybrid-cloud storage replication
• Familiarity with additional software-defined storage platforms
• Experience managing object storage at petabyte scale
• Exposure to AI/ML workloads with extreme I/O requirements

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $100,000–$150,000 annually
