Senior Platform Security Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer based in Paris. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the organization to secure infrastructure and application components at scale. Your work will focus on building solutions that address systemic security risks, making secure paths easier and insecure paths harder for engineering teams.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Solving challenging cloud infrastructure security and application security problems, starting with core building blocks and golden paths
• Enabling engineers to build and ship secure solutions quickly
• Building and extending platform security solutions that serve the entire organization
• Leveraging security tooling to protect infrastructure and provide feedback that improves products for internal teams and customers
• Implementing solutions rather than just providing recommendations to solve systemic security issues

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks candidates with:

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific field, or equivalent professional experience
• Passion for advocating and implementing solutions to complex security problems at scale in large multi-cloud self-managed Kubernetes environments
• Proven experience securing enterprise SaaS applications, including authentication flows, authorization patterns, and input validation at API boundaries
• Demonstrated experience securing deployment and management mechanisms for software and infrastructure changes
• Familiarity with common security frameworks such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, PASTA/STRIDE, and CIS
• Prior experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Cloud Security, or Application Security
• Software engineering background with hands-on code review experience in Go, Python, or Rust
• Experience with one or more Kubernetes PKI and network technologies (Consul, Envoy, Cilium, Vault, Istio, etc.)
• Experience with one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Commitment to staying updated with modern security best practices, technologies, and emerging threats

This is a hybrid position based in Paris, offering the flexibility to balance office collaboration with remote work.
