About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior O&M Asset Manager to lead asset management operations across Europe. This is a senior-level position based in London, UK, focused on photovoltaic and energy storage systems.
Our client operates a substantial portfolio of renewable energy assets and requires an experienced professional to ensure operational excellence, contract compliance, and financial performance across their European operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain senior accountability for asset management of solar and battery storage portfolios across Europe, ensuring compliance with long-term service agreements, service level agreements, key performance indicators, budgets, and performance targets
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Asset Managers, setting clear objectives, reviewing performance, and building team capability
- Serve as the senior escalation point and primary customer interface for complex technical, contractual, warranty, and corrective service issues
- Perform and oversee advanced contract analysis, identifying risks, obligations, and value optimization opportunities while actively supporting service agreement negotiations
- Provide senior technical oversight by reviewing and validating root cause analyses, interpreting SCADA data, and assessing equipment logs
- Lead service partner performance management in collaboration with procurement and operations teams, focusing on cost control, service quality, and contractual compliance
- Drive a data-driven asset management approach, including availability and performance analysis, spare parts strategy, and lifecycle cost optimization
- Ensure strong cross-functional coordination with project, sales, engineering, and headquarters teams to support asset handover and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute directly to profitability and long-term value through cost optimization, risk management, and performance-driven decision-making
- Champion continuous improvement in processes, reporting, asset performance, reliability, and team operations across the European asset management function
What We're Looking For
- Degree in engineering, business, contracting, or a related technical field
- Strong technical background in photovoltaic and battery energy storage technologies
- Extensive experience in operations and maintenance asset management, handling complex asset portfolios and long-term service agreements
- Advanced expertise in contract analysis, including warranties, service level agreements, penalties, liabilities, and risk allocation
- Proven ability to review and validate root cause analyses, and to analyze SCADA data and equipment logs at a senior decision-making level
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, with the ability to set priorities, coach performance, and drive accountability
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills with customers, internal teams, and service partners
- Highly analytical, structured, and commercially minded, with a strong focus on profitability and value creation
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in other European languages is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word; advanced data analysis skills are an advantage
- Ability to operate effectively within a multicultural, matrix organization with regular interaction with headquarters and senior leadership
