Account Executive – Financial Services

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global language services organization in their search for an Account Executive - Financial Services based in London. This is a full-time, office-based role (5 days per week on-site) focused on business development within the financial services sector.

Our client partners with industry-leading organizations worldwide to deliver translation, localization, and business solutions. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your knowledge of financial services or localization to drive new business growth through a direct sales approach—from lead generation through to account ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop new client relationships through cold calling, digital channels, and trade show engagement
• Identify and qualify prospective customers within the financial services sector
• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation through to close
• Collaborate with Sales Management to develop and close opportunities
• Educate clients on service capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages
• Manage client expectations and provide ongoing support in coordination with production teams
• Oversee pricing, contractual negotiations, and commercial terms
• Research each client's industry, business needs, and culture to identify expansion opportunities
• Project revenues, monitor budgets, and perform financial calculations as needed

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Interest in or experience with strategic business development and/or client services
• Strong relationship-building capabilities
• Superior written and spoken English communication skills
• Strong analytical skills for revenue projections and budget monitoring
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to commute to central London office five days per week
• Demonstrated ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
• Proven ability to work with diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Strategic relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues
• Problem-solving mindset and commitment to high-quality service delivery

Desirable:

• Previous account management experience in language services or financial services sectors
