As Senior Marketing Communications Coordinator at WSU in Spokane, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing integrated marketing and communications campaigns that elevate the university's visibility and reputation. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit marketing communications materials including web content, email campaigns, social media posts, newsletters, and promotional copy
• Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, events, and special initiatives that promote WSU programs and institutional priorities
• Manage social media channels, monitor engagement, and create content calendars aligned with institutional messaging
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and department leaders to gather information and translate complex academic concepts into compelling public-facing communications
• Maintain brand consistency across all communications platforms and channels
• Research and monitor industry communications trends, competitor messaging, and audience preferences to inform strategy
• Support event promotion, registration coordination, and post-event communications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field
• Three or more years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences
• Proficiency with marketing and communications platforms, content management systems, and social media tools
• Strong project management abilities with capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners
