Senior Manager, TV Networks Accounting – Record to Report

Versant is hiring a Senior Manager, TV Networks Accounting - Record to Report based in Orlando, Florida. This is a full-time, remote position that combines financial leadership with hands-on ownership of critical accounting processes in the media and broadcasting sector.

What This Role Involves

You'll lead and oversee the complete record-to-report accounting cycle for television network operations. This encompasses everything from transaction recording and account reconciliation through financial statement preparation and regulatory filing. Working remotely from Orlando or anywhere in your location, you'll manage processes that directly impact the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for broadcast operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Direct the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger management for TV network accounting
• Oversee and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and professional development within your team
• Develop and implement process improvements to streamline record-to-report workflows, reduce close timelines, and enhance data quality
• Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and disclosures in accordance with GAAP and company requirements
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders including operations, finance leadership, and external auditors
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements (where applicable), and other regulatory obligations in the broadcasting industry

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in a management or supervisory capacity
• Deep expertise in record-to-report processes, accounting operations, and financial close procedures
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with account reconciliation and journal entry review
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; Excel expertise required
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial processes to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to mentor and develop team members
