About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential energy intelligence organization seeking a Senior LNG Market Analyst to join their London team. Our client transforms complex global trade data into actionable insights for commodities and maritime sector clients worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of physical market dynamics and advanced analytics, maintaining critical cargo-level datasets that drive strategic decisions across the LNG industry.

Responsibilities

• Monitor platform data daily to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across LNG cargo tracking and emerging sectors including bunkering operations
• Structure, audit, and analyze large-scale trade datasets to identify global energy flow patterns and market trends
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate market observations into technical improvements and expanded platform capabilities
• Conduct technical demonstrations for client-facing teams, enabling sales success through deep product knowledge
• Track real-time market developments including infrastructure disruptions, trade rerouting, and maintenance events to ensure data models reflect current conditions
• Build cross-functional relationships with News, Insight, Sales, and external industry contacts to anticipate client intelligence requirements

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience as a Market Analyst or similar role focused specifically on Gas or LNG markets
• Additional background within broader energy commodities is advantageous
• Strong technical proficiency with advanced Excel, SQL, and programming languages such as Python or VBA
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex, unstructured datasets and extract strategic insights
• Self-starter mentality with strong ownership of data accuracy and quality standards
• Excellent logical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Experience presenting data findings and market insights to external clients and commercial stakeholders
• Must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom
