About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health insurance organization in their search for a Senior Life and Income Protection professional based in Paris, France. Our client is transforming the traditional insurance model by integrating prevention, care, and coverage into a seamless member experience. They serve over 1 million members across multiple European markets and are experiencing significant growth.

In this role, you will own the technical performance of the Life and Income Protection (Prévoyance) business line, spanning profitability analysis, pricing strategy, underwriting support, product launches, and reinsurance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Build and refine reserving, monitoring, and profitability methodologies including accounting and best estimate computations
• Analyze profitability drivers, market trends, and provide strategic recommendations for renewals and pricing adjustments
• Develop forecasting tools and analytics to project portfolio performance and margins at scale, integrating with Finance and Risk functions
• Define and enhance theoretical and experience-based pricing methodologies across diverse business segments
• Lead portfolio renewal strategies in collaboration with Strategy, Product, Sales, and external partners including insurers and reinsurers
• Support underwriting teams with technical analysis, guidelines, methodology development, and automation initiatives
• Provide technical expertise for new product and geography launches
• Contribute to annual reinsurance plan definition, optimization, and partnership management
• Build internal processes, resources, and knowledge frameworks to strengthen team capabilities
• Support talent identification and hiring for the Insurance team

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in insurance portfolio monitoring and pricing
• Scientific background in statistics, actuarial sciences, or related quantitative field
• Deep technical expertise combined with strategic thinking and execution focus
• Strong understanding of death and disability insurance/reinsurance technical, regulatory, and business considerations
• Proficiency in SQL; experience with R or Python is highly valued
• Comfort leveraging AI tools in daily work and data analysis
• Analytical, structured, fact-based decision-making approach
• Excellent written communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups including underwriting, finance, strategy, risk, and product teams
• Enthusiasm for teamwork, continuous learning, teaching, and stakeholder management
• Passion for transforming the insurance industry and challenging conventional approaches
• Fluency in English required
