Störungstechniker / Technischer Support (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential security technology organization in Potsdam seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join their control center team. In this role, you will provide first-line technical support for alarm systems, video surveillance installations, and workplace IT infrastructure.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Recording and diagnosing technical faults: clarifying what has failed, assessing impact, and documenting steps already taken
• First-line support for alarm systems: checking technical fault notifications, verifying connectivity and connections, and supporting troubleshooting efforts
• First-line support for video systems: assisting with camera feed issues, transmission problems, access difficulties, and connection errors
• Providing remote and telephone support: guiding customers and colleagues clearly through required diagnostic steps
• Setting up workstations and computers: working alongside the IT administrator to prepare devices, software, and accessories for deployment
• Resolving everyday IT issues: addressing software problems, access issues, connectivity challenges, and device malfunctions
• Escalating complex cases properly: documenting error patterns and previous measures so the IT administrator or specialized technicians can continue efficiently
• Capturing recurring problems: recording solutions and contributing to improvements in workflows and technical documentation

What We're Looking For

• Technical aptitude and enjoyment in systematically identifying and resolving faults
• Confident handling of computers, software, and technical equipment
• Foundational knowledge of networks and connections, plus interest in alarm and video technology
• Structured working approach: diagnosing root causes rather than randomly changing settings
• Patience and ability to explain technical concepts clearly in German
• Reliability and responsible handling of customer data, system access credentials, and security-critical infrastructure
• Willingness to collaborate closely with control center staff, technical teams, and IT administration
• Clean criminal background check (einwandfreies Führungszeugnis)

Previous experience in technical support, security technology, or workplace IT is particularly well-suited to this position.

Pay

This is a full-time position. Pay via Get A Job.ai: €32,000–€36,000 gross per year.
