Senior Finance Manager Germany (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential pharmaceutical organization seeking a senior finance professional to lead the finance function for their German operations based in Frankfurt am Main. In this role, you will work closely with the Country Manager to shape financial strategy and drive business development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating new product opportunities and marketing initiatives, modeling scenarios, and developing investment recommendations alongside the Country Manager
• Managing gross-to-net processes, including health insurance rebates, reconciling receivables, and ensuring accurate provisions and price approvals
• Assessing tender opportunities economically, reviewing calculations with the tender management team, and making margin impacts transparent
• Developing the finance function in line with business growth, improving reporting and processes, identifying risks early, and collaborating with supply chain and logistics
• Leading forecasting processes with sales and supply chain teams, and managing treasury and liquidity oversight for Germany in coordination with the European finance team
• Ensuring compliance with tax and statistical reporting requirements, including VAT and corporate tax, and supporting the annual audit process

What We're Looking For

• At least ten years of finance experience, including business-partnering roles in areas such as commercial finance, controlling, FP&A, pricing, tender management, pharmaceutical wholesale, or pharmaceutical import
• Hands-on experience with the German generics business, including gross-to-net mechanisms, health insurance rebates, provisions, and tender evaluation—this experience may come from a previous position or related pharmaceutical commercial role
• Business orientation with the ability to think through commercial opportunities, advocate for recommendations, and enjoy building something from the ground up
• Strong technical skills including advanced Excel proficiency and practical SAP experience, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly
• German language skills at B2 level minimum (C1 preferred) and very good English
• Additional accounting or business qualifications and experience building processes in a growing organization are welcome
