We are representing a confidential digital consulting organization seeking a Senior Lead Consultant for Defense & Resilience projects based in Hamburg. This role sits at the intersection of military requirements, public sector security needs, and modern digital transformation. You will advise private defense contractors and security-focused public agencies on resilient strategies, digital solutions, and technology implementation—from initial analysis through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Advise private and public sector clients in defense and security contexts on secure digitalization and transformation initiatives
• Analyze complex operational, organizational, and technological challenges to develop robust solution approaches and target architectures
• Translate military capabilities, operational requirements, and strategic objectives into concrete digital solutions and technical architectures
• Develop strategies, roadmaps, and concepts for digitizing security-relevant processes and structures in collaboration with clients
• Guide projects from strategic conception through implementation, ensuring tangible client value
• Facilitate workshops with diverse stakeholders, integrating technical, operational, and strategic perspectives
• Collaborate closely with development, architecture, and delivery specialists; take ownership of solution quality
• Monitor technological and security policy developments to inform client recommendations and service portfolio evolution

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience consulting on, designing, or managing complex digitalization and IT projects—ideally in defense, security, or public sector environments
• Strong understanding of military capability frameworks and capacity-oriented planning, with ability to derive requirements for modern digital solutions
• Knowledge of digitizing command, control, and operational processes; familiarity with command information systems and system landscape integration
• Expertise in relevant technologies: cybersecurity, resilience, cloud platforms, secure communications, and networks
• Understanding of drones, sensors, unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, and data spaces in military and public agency contexts
• Ability to translate technological developments and complex IT capabilities into concrete operational scenarios, requirements, and value propositions for defense and public sector clients
• Confident presence in client workshops, management-level discussions, and interdisciplinary teams; skill in tailoring complex topics to diverse audiences
• High initiative, strategic thinking, and willingness to take ownership of client relationships and service development
• Willingness to travel within Germany and Europe as client engagements require
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken
• Preferred: Background through service in armed forces or close professional engagement with military organizations
• Preferred: Familiarity with classified information handling, security clearance processes, or comparable work in regulated environments
