(Senior) IT Product Owner Data Platform (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telecommunications infrastructure organization in their search for a Senior IT Product Owner to lead their data platform initiatives. This role combines strategic product ownership with hands-on technical leadership in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Based in Düsseldorf with remote flexibility across Germany, you'll work closely with our talent team throughout the application process. This is a permanent position requiring German and English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze internal and external requirements with business units, develop viable technical solution concepts, and advise stakeholders throughout the entire requirements process from problem definition to user story creation
• Evaluate and prioritize demands based on urgency and business value while maintaining alignment with stakeholder interests
• Coordinate and provide functional leadership to agile DevOps teams to ensure efficient, goal-oriented implementation
• Take ownership of requirement delivery success regarding scope, effort, timeline, and quality, initiating appropriate measures in close coordination with teams and requestors
• Actively shape the continuous optimization and digitalization of IT infrastructure and underlying business processes

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience as a Product Owner, IT Project Manager, or comparable role, ideally with a degree in Business Informatics or similar field
• Comprehensive knowledge in building and developing data models, ETL processes, and analyzing and processing large data volumes in cloud environments (AWS)
• Strong expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Pronounced analytical and conceptual thinking combined with technical understanding of data flows, interfaces, and ideally SQL/Python skills
• Excellent communication abilities to convey complex content clearly to different audiences, actively manage expectations, and create well-founded decision documents
• High initiative, self-organization, and commitment with structured, strategic work style and focus on essentials
• Fluency in both German and English (negotiation-level proficiency required)
