Senior Graphic Designer (Art Director)

Elevance Health is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director for our Atlanta, Fulton County office. This is a full-time position where you'll lead the visual identity and creative direction for a major healthcare organization, with an in-office presence of one to two days per week while maintaining flexible remote work arrangements.

About the Role

As Senior Graphic Designer and Art Director, you'll shape how Elevance Health communicates visually across all channels. You'll drive creative strategy, establish design standards, and mentor designers to execute cohesive brand experiences. This leadership role combines hands-on design work with strategic creative vision, ensuring every visual touchpoint reflects our brand promise and connects with audiences.

What You'll Do

• Develop and refine creative concepts for digital, print, and multimedia campaigns
• Direct the overall visual aesthetic across websites, marketing materials, internal communications, and public-facing assets
• Build and maintain design systems that scale across teams and departments
• Lead design projects from concept through final delivery, managing timelines and quality standards
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, and product teams to align design with business objectives
• Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior and mid-level designers
• Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices in the healthcare industry
• Present design work to stakeholders and defend creative decisions

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional graphic design and art direction experience
• Proven portfolio demonstrating brand development, campaign work, and creative leadership
• Expert proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, and design principles
• Experience directing other designers or leading creative teams
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present work persuasively
• Ability to balance artistic vision with business and user needs
• Knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and responsive design
