About the Role
As Principal Carelon Research Biostatistician, you'll lead the design, execution, and analysis of complex biostatistical research initiatives. What You'll Do
- Design and conduct sophisticated statistical analyses for clinical, observational, and health economic research studies
- Develop novel biostatistical methodologies and establish best practices for research execution
- Lead cross-functional research teams and provide statistical guidance to junior biostatisticians
- Create and validate statistical analysis plans, study protocols, and analysis specifications
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to FDA, ICH, and industry standards in research methodology and reporting
- Translate research findings into actionable insights for clinical and business stakeholders
- Collaborate with physicians, epidemiologists, health economists, and data scientists on complex healthcare research
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related quantitative field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years of biostatistical experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical research environments
- Advanced expertise in study design, hypothesis testing, and statistical modeling techniques
- Proficiency with statistical software such as R, SAS, Python, or equivalent platforms
- Proven leadership experience managing research teams and complex analytical projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for audiences at all technical levels
- Knowledge of healthcare analytics, health economics, and clinical research methodologies
