Senior Go Backend Developer (Product Ops) (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential adtech organization operating at global scale. In this role, you will be working on critical backend systems that support enterprise-level publisher integrations and platform stability.

Your responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining high-performance Go services that process billions of daily events
• Designing and operating microservice architectures with reliable asynchronous communication patterns
• Developing diagnostic tooling to automate root-cause resolution across distributed systems
• Optimizing data access patterns and queries to achieve millisecond-level response times
• Collaborating with data science teams to integrate machine learning algorithms into production backend services
• Supporting enterprise partners through well-documented APIs and transparent data delivery
• Owning services end-to-end from development through production deployment
• Troubleshooting and resolving critical production issues across the full technology stack

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a senior backend engineer with deep expertise in Go and distributed systems:

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience, with 3+ years building production Go services
• Proven experience profiling and optimizing Go applications under real production traffic at scale
• Strong background designing and operating microservice architectures using message queuing systems like Kafka and SQS/SNS
• Hands-on experience with multiple data storage technologies including Druid, MySQL, Redis, and DynamoDB
• Deep understanding of data performance optimization and the tradeoffs between different storage solutions
• Experience working with data science teams to productionize machine learning algorithms
• Infrastructure experience with Terraform, Docker, and serverless technologies
• Track record building systems that handle high request volumes and large-scale data aggregation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across the full technology stack

This role is based in Hamburg, Germany. Our client welcomes international candidates and provides relocation support.
