Product Owner (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a well-established SaaS organization based in Munich. They are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join their international product and development team. This role offers the opportunity to shape product strategy for a platform serving thousands of businesses across the DACH region.

We are looking for a candidate who can bridge customer needs with technical execution, working closely with agile development teams to deliver meaningful product value.

Responsibilities

• Drive product vision by understanding customer needs and challenges, pursuing optimal solutions for end users
• Collaborate closely with development teams to transform product ideas into reality, from requirements gathering through implementation support
• Create user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritize backlog items, and ensure the team focuses on high-value work
• Make data-driven decisions to organize product implementation, serving as the bridge between product and development teams
• Monitor open bug tickets and track issues reported by customers and stakeholders
• Work with internal stakeholders to understand and actively contribute to the product roadmap
• Own release management for mobile applications
• Maintain organized documentation of project requirements and customer needs for development teams

What We're Looking For

• Completed technical degree or equivalent qualification
• Strong understanding of software development processes
• 3-4 years of experience in project management or product organization roles
• Experience working in the DACH market
• Proven experience with software or SaaS products
• Previous experience in a small business or startup environment
• Deep familiarity with agile values, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to write user stories and break down epics into actionable slices
• Analytical, data-driven mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with fluent English
• German language skills are a significant advantage but not required
• Curiosity about technology and user needs, with a continuous improvement mindset
